Hello dear readers,
We are thrilled to introduce you to our new family member, a charming King Pigeon who has made himself right at home in no time at all. Hand-reared and bursting with character, our new companion is as polite as he is playful, and his curiosity knows no bounds. We’ve affectionately named him Big Chungus, and he’s every bit as chonky as his name suggests.
Chungus has an endearing sense of adventure that has already made us laugh more times than we can count. Today, he took the liberty of exploring every nook and cranny of his new home, from the living room to the garden. He thoroughly enjoyed taking baths and sunbathing on a blanket, looking absolutely majestic in the process. His favorite pastime, however, appears to be asking for pats and scratches, which we are more than happy to provide.
What sets Chungus apart is his amazing ability to trust. He’s made friends with us in no time, showing no signs of anxiety or fear. Despite his love for attention, he isn’t demanding at all. He respects boundaries and enjoys his alone time, making him the perfect balance of friendly and independent.
Our evening have become noticeably warmer with him around. He’s taken to sleeping with us, filling our hearts with joy every time he asks for a pat or a scratch. It’s a true pleasure to have a pet in our home again. Chungus’s presence has made our house feel more like a home and we are grateful for that.
We got him from Sam, a bird enthusiast from County Mayo. Meeting Sam was a wonderful experience. His passion for birds is contagious and it was obvious from our first conversation that he pours his heart into caring for these beautiful creatures. It’s thanks to him that we now have Big Chungus in our lives. We hope to provide the best care to our new feathered friend, and we’re excited to learn and grow with him.
As we settle into our new routine with our new friend, we look forward to sharing more of his adventures and antics with you. Here’s to our new journey with our King Pigeon. We couldn’t be happier to have him in our lives.
Stay tuned for more updates and until then, stay kind to every kind.
